Description:
S2F Global Resources is looking for a Measurement Specialist to perform work for a client in the Grande Prairie area. The Measurement Technician has a primary focus on managing measurement related data and tasks to ensure compliance with AER/OGC regulations. The position will require occasional travel to different areas within the operating area.
Measurement Specialist, Field
Responsibilities
coordinate with Field and Plant Coordinators, Operations Leads and operations staff to ensure proper and efficient measurement of produced gas and liquids
work as part of a team to maintain an ongoing measurement preventative maintenance program and ensure proper industry specifications are met
manage and schedule LGR testing, gas and liquid sampling, meter calibrations, and meter proving
ensure safety regulations are met and safe work permits are issued
monitor vendor compliance with ISNET ratings
ensure the regulatory compliance of the plant and field sites (DIR-17 and BCER Directives)
work with contract companies to schedule necessary regulatory work for plant and field sites
utilize SCADA control systems to enter and acquire measurement data
setup and manage FlowCal, gas measurement data management software
setup and manage Protrend, analysis data management software
manage and maintain schematic metering diagrams
manage and address any measurement audit issues
assist other business groups in a timely and efficient manner
ensure effective communication with operations, maintenance and management staff
ongoing performance improvement including site-specific training and process training
Knowledge of RTU set-ups in both the RTU and Cygnet to get data through to the CFX files
Knowledge of Pi-to-FC import files to get data via text files into FlowCal
Ability to update Macro files for loading calibration and proving info into Protrend

Measurement Data Technician Field Operations
Responsibilities
Adding new wells and meters via Factr
Approving Tickets in Open invoice
Loading Data into Protrend (Analysis, Calibrations, ect.)
Collecting Missing Data via Cygnet
Validating Missing data and Plate changes via FlowCal
Manage Gantt chart updates
Work as part of several small teams to complete/maintain ongoing data and logistics solutions.
Manage assigned data tasks across several software platforms.
Manage data collection and preparation for audit and regulatory requirements
Assist in accrual and accounts payable data accuracy and continuity
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of related industry experience in instrumentation or plant/field operations or measurement experience. A strong knowledge of general oil and gas measurement standards is required. Proficient in use of application of PC programs like Word, Excel, Outlook is required, and knowledge of FlowCal, Protend, Cygnet is an asset. You must be legally entitled to work in Canada and have a minimum of grade 12 education. Strong organization, attention to detail and communication skills and the ability to work independently. You must have a valid Drivers license.
