What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead and inspire a team of mechanical engineers and designers to achieve high performance and innovation.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and career development opportunities to your team.
  • Allocate resources effectively, manage timelines, and oversee project execution.
  • Collaborate across departments (e.g., Electrical, Structural, Civil) to ensure seamless integration and coordination.
  • Guide the planning, design, and development of mechanical systems and components.
  • Ensure engineering designs meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate innovative practices into projects.
  • Review and approve mechanical design documentation, schematics, and layouts.
  • Oversee multiple projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are on time and within budget.
  • Facilitate project status meetings and maintain transparent communication with stakeholders.
  • Ensure all engineering documentation is accurately maintained and accessible.
  • Lead efforts to enhance engineering processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Implement best practices for mechanical design, testing, and development.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and apply lessons learned for continuous improvement.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of mechanical engineering experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven ability to manage and inspire teams in a complex technical environment.
  • Expertise in mechanical system design, hydronic systems, and testing.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, tools, and industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with industry-specific software tools (e.g., Carrier HAP).
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., UL, CE, IEC).
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing tasks effectively.
