Mechanical Design Engineer, Castings

Collaborate with Process ,Tooling and Manufacturing Engineering to establish Cooling Systems Equipment requirements, creating fully detailed 3D CAD equipment design models to be sent out for procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop the CAD design of cooling systems from concept to production
• Incorporate input from Process and Thermal Simulation Engineers into Equipment Design
• Design Manufacturing equipment commonly referred as skids
• Review and validate 3D models to avoid fabrication delays
• Selection of components such as Heat Exchangers , pumps , valves , instruments for large and complex systems
• Manage parallel, rather than serial, the design , fabrication, and execution of such systems

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Mechanical design experience specifically with cooling systems used in High Pressure Die Cast Equipment
• Strong to expert level 3D CAD skills, including advanced surfacing and large assemblies
• CATIA V5+ fluency preferred
• Pipe Flow analysis/simulations experience
