Job Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop motorcycle systems and components that transcend benchmarks and deliver an unparalleled riding experience. You will have an opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, with access to our world-class product development center.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver the LiveWire vision through development of active programs and future concepts.
  • Be the Chief Engineer of your components and systems; apply robust engineering principles and fundamental physics to optimize their integration into the vehicle to maximize critical motorcycle attributes such as appearance, function, and performance.
  • Develop and deliver content across all segments of the vehicle including, but not limited to, structures, bodywork, brakes, RVI, wheels/tires, and suspension.
  • Leverage extensive product development assets including test labs, proving grounds and expert product development capabilities to deliver best-in-class performance, usability, and quality.
  • Execute root cause investigations that arise in development, test, integration, and production; implement corrective actions to prevent repeat issues.
  • Streamline product development and implement best practices while eliminating waste.
  • Influence, mentor, and inspire teammates to deliver great technical solutions.
  • Demonstrate effective cross-functional collaboration in delivering world class designs.
  • Demonstrate creativity, agility, and a relentless commitment to excellence and innovation.

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.

Experience Requirements
  • Position level dependent on experience; minimum of 2 years required for consideration.
  • History of solving complex mechanical design problems in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Broad manufacturing process knowledge including casting, forging, stamping, welding, and injection molding.
  • Ability to communicate technical subjects clearly and concisely across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated skills in 3D CAD (Creo preferred), 2D Drawings, GD&T, DFMEA, and DVP&R.
  • Enthusiasm for problem solving in automotive and motorcycle applications.

Pay Range: $69,200 - $103,600

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
