As a Mechanical Designer, you will play a key role in developing hardware design solutions for complex engineering systems. You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality mechanical designs that meet customer and project requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Design manufacturing, assembly, and installation drawings based on project specifications.
- Analyze technical requirements, engineering drawings, and stakeholder input.
- Collaborate across engineering teams and manufacturing groups to ensure cohesive design execution.
- Identify and implement technical solutions to meet project goals and timelines.
- Support the manufacturing team during prototype builds and production.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the design and production workflow.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, complex project environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- Proficient in parametric CAD tools (Creo preferred).
- Experience with PLM systems such as Windchill.
- Skilled in large assembly design, sheet metal design, and surface modeling.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel).
- Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual in English and French (required).
Nice to Have:
- Experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
- Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with SolidWorks or CATIA.
