Mechanical Engineer - Manufacturing

The candidate must be experienced in designing and manufacturing fixed process equipment. Experience with rotating equipment is also valuable. They must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and with managing competing priorities.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• • Oversee product execution at key suppliers, including scheduling, quality, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage production metrics to ensure on time delivery and ability to meet forecasts.
  • Support proposals with mechanical designs for new equipment.
  • Support all aspects of system solutions, including proposals, supplier management, quality, commissioning, and startup.
  • Maintain and update manufacturing drawings, material specifications, and design standards.
  • Support product development through mechanical design of new equipment / new manufacturing processes.
  • Support sales efforts with timely response to technical and commercial questions.
  • Work with subcontract manufacturers / suppliers to improve product quality and reduce costs.

Knowledge and Skills:

• • This position requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of related experience.
  • Experience with metal and fiberglass fabrication is preferred. Familiarity with welding and ASME/ASTM/ANSI and similar fabrication codes is a plus.
  • Some domestic travel required ~10-15%.
  • Candidate must have skills with MS Office, AutoCAD, and ERP systems.
  • Candidate must be able to communicate effectively with engineers, manufacturing personnel, and management.
