Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Engineer with HVAC and/or plumbing design expertise to join our growing team. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity with an excellent compensation package.
Responsibilities:
- Calculate, design, and generate AutoCAD and/or Revit files and construction documents for MEP engineering needs across a variety of building types (commercial office, schools, healthcare facilities, multifamily, municipal buildings, etc.), with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
- Manage small and large projects, establishing schedules, assigning resources, monitoring performance, and ensuring projects stay on time and within budget.
- Maintain and organize mechanical engineering-related documents and schedules, along with associated general project documents.
- Review mechanical design submittals and resolve any issues, conflicts, or questions that arise in the field.
- Provide project status updates to internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Build and develop relationships to drive new business opportunities with both existing and potential clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in HVAC or plumbing design and project management; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit required; familiarity with HVAC modeling programs such as TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, and/or AIRMaster is a significant advantage.
- Experience in HVAC/Plumbing design and project management for commercial, multifamily, educational, healthcare, and institutional buildings.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with subcontractors, project owners, and other stakeholders.
