This is a full-time, direct placement role at PSA Architects.

We are looking for a motivated licensed Professional engineer with minimum of 5 years of experience. An individual that is looking to advance their career thru diverse project experiences, managing production personnel, and a desire for exposure to all aspects of the profession. Engineer Job Responsibilities:
Researches, analyzes, design, and administers MEP projects for clients, applying knowledge of engineering design, detailing, construction procedures, mechanical codes, materials, and systems.
Produces conceptual plans, analytical, and construction documents.
Plans and programs layout of project(s); coordinates and integrates engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval.
Utilizes computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans.
Produces plumbing, HVAc, and electrical construction documents in AutoCAD.
Working with the Project Manager, may direct, supervise, and check activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents for the Conceptual Design Phase, Schematic Design Phase, and/or the Detailed Design Phase of a project. Interfaces with Director of Architecture and project managers. Coordinate production with up to 4 reporting-to team members
Research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications.
Requirements
PE license
Ability to provide elegant and effect design solutions
A positive, creative, and professional approach to project deliverables.
General knowledge of Tenant Finish Design Packages: interior materials and finishes, floor plans, furniture plans, finish plans, reflected ceiling plans, interior elevations, interior details, millwork details, ceiling details etc.
Proficient in different MEP system types and detailing
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to details
Ability to work under indirect supervision
Effective interpersonal skill and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability
Comfortable with ambiguity and time spent outside of comfort zone acquiring new skills
Technically creative and open- minded
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
Licensure in the state of Ohio and ability to obtain additional state licensure
5+ years of engineering experience preferably within the commercial, hospitality, health clubs, office, retail, animal care, and restaurant industry
Understanding and knowledge of building codes, mechanical systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, and site requirements
Proficiency in AutoCad, HAP or similar block load software, and Microsoft Office is required
