Mechanical Engineer

Technical/Functional Skills Mechanical Design Engineer with rich knowledge in material & manufacturing processes. Designing - Tools, Jigs & Fixtures, Robotic Grippers etc., Experience Required 10+ years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer with rich knowledge in material & manufacturing processes and expertise in CAD tools Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD. Proficient in 3D parametric modeling of components and creating assemblies using mating conditions, DFMA concepts and engineering detailed drawing with a GD&T must. Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Excellent organizational and Project management skills required. Roles & Responsibilities

• Support Engineers on line retrofits, continuous improvement projects and Design enhancements - includes solution idea-generation, drawings for part manufacture and line fit-up support
• Providing Mechanical Engineering design solutions to the line problems
• Eliminate non-value-added steps or delays or unnecessary movements on manufacturing line equipment's etc. by using VA/VE & Lean manufacturing Techniques
• Designing Jigs & Fixtures, Robotic Grippers/EOAT (End of Arm Tools), Concepts, Prototypes & Mold Room Tools using DFMA methodologies
• Reverse Engineering for the physical parts & line structures using Vernier calipers, rulers, & measurement tapes
• Concepts and final design review meetings with Client Engineers/Managers, Line Technicians & Operators
• Create Inventor 3D Parametric Model, Assembly with BOM, Assembly Checking Drawings and Manufacturing Detail Drawings - with ASME Y 14.5 standards & apply GD & T. Working experience with Autodesk Inventor is preferable
• Assembly Tolerance Chain Stack-up Analysis
• New machines Fit-Check analysis on Manufacturing line layouts - Fit Check Drawings using AutoCAD layouts
• Offshore Co-ordination: Sending jobs/workload to offshore, 100% utilization of offshore team, providing project inputs & scope of work with clear instructions to offshore team members, clarifying queries, reviewing offshore deliveries etc.,
