We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge mechanical systems and contribute to the design and analysis of innovative products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering with expertise in precision mechanisms, hands-on prototyping, and a deep understanding of mechanical system analysis. You will play a key role in engineering complex systems from concept to production, ensuring the highest quality and performance standards.

- Lead the mechanical design and development of machine elements and precision mechanisms.
- Perform detailed analysis of mechanical systems and components for life, stress, deflection, and related performance criteria.
- Create mechanical part models, assemblies, drawings, and bills of materials using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred but not required).
- Present technical designs and analysis results effectively to a technical audience for peer review.
- Participate in hands-on prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies.
- Diagnose and resolve root causes of issues in mechanical systems to enhance reliability and performance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's Degree is a plus).
- 10+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering role, focusing on design, analysis, and prototyping.
- Proficiency in mechanical design of machine elements and mechanisms, with experience in precision mechanisms preferred.
- Strong background in mechanical system analysis using FEA and other analytical tools.
- Proven experience with 3D CAD software for part and assembly modeling (SolidWorks experience is preferred).
- Effective technical communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to document and present designs and findings.
- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience engineering robotic systems, ideally in the semiconductor industry.
- Familiarity with designing and working with ultra-high vacuum (UHV) capital equipment.
- Expertise in various engineering analyses such as Thermal Analysis, Structural Analysis, Modal Analysis, Dynamic Analysis, Stress Analysis, Fatigue Analysis, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
- Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Self-driven and proactive in exploring and implementing new technologies and solutions.
