Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary:

This Mechanical Engineer role involves supporting the integration of vehicle sub-system components and installations onto ground vehicle platforms within the defense sector.

The successful candidate will utilize PTC CREO to update and release design changes, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, military specifications, and product requirements.

This role will also involve analyzing and interpreting design specifications, participating in design and process reviews, and collaborating with integrated product team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop designs to meet specified requirements, incorporating design revisions as needed.
• Analyze and interpret design specifications, drawings, documentation, models, and test results to ensure technical compliance.
• Participate in design and process reviews to validate and optimize engineering solutions.
• Interface with senior members of the integrated product team to provide updates and resolve issues.
• Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring adherence to all company safety standards and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related engineering field.
• Proficiency in using CREO or similar CAD software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion.
• Understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to drawings.
• Experience with engineering analysis, including bolted joints and tolerance analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Over 2 years of experience using PTC CREO for model creation and drawing.
• Familiarity with military vehicles and related design specifications.
