We are seeking a degreed Mechanical Engineer with 4-10 years of experience to support the design process by collaborating with a small team of Senior Level Engineers and Project Managers. The role involves completing mechanical design projects for various facilities, including laboratories, clean rooms, animal labs, hotels, healthcare facilities, offices, schools, restaurants, multi-family units, and government secure facilities. This position can be either in-office or hybrid with site visits. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required, and familiarity with Revit is a plus.

Job Description

Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of mechanical design services, including conceptual studies, programming, schematic documents, design development documents, and construction documents under the direct supervision of a Senior Mechanical Engineer or Principal.
- Provide mechanical engineering services associated with the bidding process, including preparing addenda and amendments, and opening and tabulating bids as directed.
- Conduct mechanical engineering services during the construction phase, including field visits, answering RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, preparing record drawings, and laying out mechanical systems with consideration of alternative systems.
- Prepare accurate, complete, and code-compliant drawings and specifications for schematic, design development, and construction document submittals.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure project integration.
- Perform QA/QC reviews on assigned projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Mechanical Engineering Degree
- 4-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering
- Experience in mechanical design
- Ability to pass a federal drug and background check
- US Citizenship and willingness to obtain security clearance
- EIT certification preferred
- Familiarity with Revit
- Experience with HVAC systems
