Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description: Are you passionate about mechanical design and eager to make a significant impact? Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining effective mechanical design bases for transformer layouts and providing technical expertise to both internal and external customers. You'll review assigned projects, compare customer specifications to design data, and address any inconsistencies or special requirements.
Responsibilities:

• Systematically review mechanical design rules to ensure customer needs are met while maintaining cost and reliability goals.
• Define customer requirements and perform detailed analysis of loads, stresses, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Provide recommendations, plan, and execute projects that enhance product competitiveness, working closely with manufacturing, purchasing, and other functions.
• Identify, plan, and execute projects for new product designs and extensions of current products through inter-department team efforts.
• Develop solutions to complex and unusual order-related requirements to manage risk.
• Document mechanical design rationale and provide rules for specific product designs.
• Offer technical expertise and training in mechanical design, stress analysis, and manufacturing processes.
• Interpret product scope, quality standards, and industry standards to ensure proper design and application of transformer and substation products.
• Support Marketing in bid preparation through innovative application of transformer and substation products.
• Act as project leader on assigned projects.
• Consult with Marketing and customers to explore product expansion and refinement opportunities.
• Resolve production and customer issues by collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, field service, purchasing personnel, and vendors.

Essential Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Design or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of design experience with Creo/Pro-E.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with motors, generators, switchgears, or electromechanical industry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in mechanical engineering principles and design.
• Experience with motors, generators, switchgear, and electromechanical devices.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
