We are looking for an Industry and Infrastructure (I&I) Engineering Transformation Office (ETO) Product Standardization Medium Voltage Mechanical Key Expert. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.

As an ETO Medium Voltage Mechanical Key Expert, you will drive product standardization projects with-in the I&I Engineering team to deliver quality and productivity improvements.

You will work within a team of like-minded engineering SME's along with R&D, PLM, Business Excellence, and development teams to implement strategic projects and initiatives that focus on standardizing our product designs, engineering deliverables, and part libraries to deliver an industry leading experience for internal and external customers.

Strong product knowledge, technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic agile environment for coordinating across multiple different products, tools, and design/development teams, are essential to succeeding in this role.

The specific focus for this role will be on all aspects of product standardization and digitalization to include idea analysis, feasibility, definition, planning, prioritization, testing, implementation, adoption assurance, and close out of projects.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Be a trusted change advisor to engineering business stakeholders to understand complex problems by building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on medium voltage engineered products when representing the department in projects and other meetings.
  • Analyze, identify, and define standardization projects within various products and engineering platforms.
  • Implement EA's product standardization strategy for Medium Voltage Products, coordinating with both local and offshore design resources.
  • Serve as expert in leading large-scale delivery in a highly agile environment, leading moderate to large complex projects and programs delivering high-impact transformation by providing strategic direction to projects and influencing stakeholders and management.
  • Ultimately responsible for timely completion of all deliverables, ensuring projects are being documented appropriately to mitigate risk and meet defined objectives.
  • Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes.
  • Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent degree
  • 4+ years of work experience with electrical power distribution products and systems or Associate degree with 8+ years of experience
  • Strong working knowledge of standard protection and control technologies used in medium voltage power distribution products with proven ability to share this knowledge with others.
  • Proven ability to create, convert & modify drawings with 2D and 3D design software.
  • Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL and NEMA standards for MV Switchgear.
  • Experience with mechanical design for medium voltage switchgear
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Must currently live within the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced experience with NX, AutoCAD and Teamcenter, including development of macros, formulas, and other automation tools.
  • Experience in change management and leading teams through organizational change.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, innovate, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work autonomously without constant supervision.

  • The pay range for this position is $82,320 - $141,120. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
