SUMMARY
The Project Engineer is the primary point-person responsible for planning and delivering engineering projects on time and within budget. The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing the project and project team with project documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. To be successful, the Project Engineer should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks' completion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with on-site management to ensure project success
- Ensure project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines
- Responsible for RFI and submittal process
- Processes owner billings and project related accounting issues
- Manage the planning and scheduling of assigned projects of various sizes and complexity
- Assist in generating design proposals and specifications to determine cost effective solutions
- Ensure professional quality services in all facets of work
- Ensure quality control and assurance metrics are met throughout project duration
- Manage project activities throughout lifecycle, including the allocation of adequate resources, documentation, and other factors necessary for success
- Work with clients to deliver the end project
- Maintain current business and client relationships
- Visit the site once under construction at regular intervals as required by the project
- Provide cost control during the design and construction process
- Maintain project schedule and project cost summaries to track work progress, budget status, and manpower resource utilization
- Escalate and identify the need for additional services and fees
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships
- Initial job site review and scope when required
- Provide technical design as required
- Other duties as required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architectural Engineering
- Five (5) or more years of relevant commercial building MEP systems design experience
- Knowledge of building codes and ability to perform accurate load calculations
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices
- Basic understanding of all MEP system components
- Demonstrated customer fulfillment
- Mechanical and Electrical coordination experience
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Proficient in the use of Revit, AutoCAD and engineering modeling tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- PE or EIT certification in engineering discipline
- Desire to become a Professional Engineer in near future
