Description
The Territory Manager is responsible for driving new business development within an assigned geographic region. This includes identifying prospects, generating qualified leads, and introducing automation and mechatronic solutions that align with customer needs. The role is focused on building a robust sales pipeline and cultivating long-term customer relationships to support sustainable growth.
As part of a highly collaborative sales and technical team, success in this role requires strong communication skills, a proactive mindset and a commitment to mutual accountability. The Territory Manager works closely with Account Managers, Automation Specialists, and vendor partners to deliver best-in-class solutions and ensure seamless customer experience.

Language Ability
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of and be proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel. Must be able to learn and use the Livingston & Haven Apogee System.

- Promote automation products and solutions to generate new business.
- Support regional marketing initiatives and attend industry events.
- Collaborate with Account Managers and Automation Specialists to transition qualified opportunities.
- Maintain CRM data and provide territory activity reports.
- Support key corporate initiatives and all technology divisions for the advancement of the Livingston & Haven organization
- Work within the Livingston & Haven framework and business philosophies, while providing an entrepreneurial approach to growing your business
Responsibilities in the areas of Standard Product and Vendor Management are:
- Promoting product, especially Standard Product where they exist for a vendor
- Riding with vendor reps
- Coordinate Special Price contracts with the Product Manager and work directly with the vendor to renew the contracts
- Developing engineered solutions that include Standard Product
Qualifications

Education
- Minimum Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with a degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business, or related field; or 1-3 years of experience in industrial automation or technical sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Engineering or Business
- Additional related training preferred

- Comfortable with regular regional travel
