Medical Director, ICU

Deborah Heart and Lung Center is seeking a Medical Director of the Cardiac ICU to join our experienced multidisciplinary critical care team. The ideal candidate will be board-certified in critical care and cardiology or have significant experience and interest in cardiac critical care.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the care of a diverse range of acute and chronically ill patients, including those with cardiogenic shock, mechanical circulatory support needs, airway management and LVAD care
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team that includes advanced heart failure cardiologist, pulmonologist, surgical critical care specialists, and cardiothoracic surgeons
  Supervised cardiology fellows during their training in the cardiac ICU
• Develop and implement ICU protocols, best practices, and quality metrics

Qualifications:

• Board certification and critical care and cardiology, or extensive experience in cardiac critical care management.
• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
• Commitment to high-quality, patient centered care.
