A reputable veterinary clinic in Yuma, AZ is seeking a Full-Time Medical Director (DVM) to lead a team dedicated to providing exceptional care for companion animals. About the Role:

As the Medical Director, the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the medical care provided at the clinic, ensuring the highest standards of veterinary care are consistently met. This includes taking the lead in diagnosing and treating medical conditions, performing surgeries, and providing guidance and mentorship to the clinical team. The Medical Director will also be responsible for developing and implementing medical policies and procedures, optimizing clinic operations, and ensuring smooth day-to-day functionality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and provide medical diagnoses, treatments, and surgeries for a variety of animal cases.
  • Lead the development and implementation of medical policies and procedures that align with industry standards and ensure excellent patient care.
  • Mentor and guide the veterinary team, providing clinical support and fostering professional development.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews, ensuring that all medical practices comply with ethical and professional standards.
  • Engage with clients to provide clear communication about diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and oversee the maintenance of client relationships and satisfaction.

Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience as a practicing veterinarian, with prior leadership experience or a desire to take on a leadership role.
  • A valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Arizona.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
  • Passion for animal welfare and commitment to delivering high-quality veterinary care.
  • Ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative team environment.
