Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (or equivalent, as determined by the Medical Executive Committee, from time to time) with certificates of special qualification in hematology and/or medical oncology.
Spanning the clinical and research enterprise in support of patient care, research, and education, advances the Institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer,
Practices medicine within the scope of authority and privileges granted by Moffitt
Cancer Center. Provides patient care under the auspices of Moffitt Medical Group, and serves as member of the academic medical enterprise; advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer. The position may span the clinical and research enterprise, and supports patient care, research, and education.
The faculty member will join a dynamic Myeloma Team within the department of malignant hematology which includes 4 faculty and is heavily engaged in clinical and translational research and collaborates closely with the bone marrow transplant and cellular immunology programs. Clinical responsibilities include outpatient clinic for the treatment and management of plasma cell disorders and inpatient hematologic malignancy service.
Faculty rank is commensurate on experience. Candidates should be eligible for Assistant Member level or above.
The Chief will allocate the position's effort between clinical, research, educational and administrative activities.
