Demonstrates expertise in all aspects of Radiation Therapy (but not limited to), treatment planning, patient dosimetry, system commissioning, quality assurance and governmental regulatory issues. Job Summary and Qualifications:
Provides technical leadership in the Radiation Therapy Department. Demonstrates expertise in all aspects of Radiation Therapy (but not limited to), treatment planning, patient dosimetry, system commissioning, quality assurance and governmental regulatory issues. Acts as a resource to Physicians, System Director of Radiation Therapy, Dosimetrist, and Therapists on technical matters related to Radiation Oncology.
What qualifications you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Board certified in Therapeutic Radiological Physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or Radiation Oncology Physics by the American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP)
- Masters Degree or PhD from an accredited graduate program in Medical Physics or closely related field
- 3 years experience after graduation as a clinical Medical Physicist in Radiation Oncology preferred
- At least 1 year experience in 3D radiation therapy treatment planning preferred
