What You'll Be Doing
- Perform Diagnostic Imaging: Conduct X-ray, fluoroscopy, and mammography procedures to produce high-quality images for accurate diagnoses.
- Assist in Procedures: Support physicians during interventional radiology and pain management procedures with fluoroscopic guidance.
- Patient Care & Comfort: Guide patients through procedures, provide clear explanations, and ensure a safe, comfortable experience.
- Optimize Imaging Quality: Set up and operate equipment to capture clear images while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with radiologists and healthcare professionals to review images and ensure diagnostic accuracy.
- Maintain Records & Compliance: Keep patient documentation up to date while ensuring privacy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
- Equipment Monitoring & Safety: Perform routine equipment checks, complete quality assurance logs, and adhere to radiation safety protocols.
- Expand Expertise: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed on the latest imaging techniques, technologies, and best practices.
- Enhance Workflow: Contribute to process improvements that optimize efficiency and patient outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- Education: A post-secondary education from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist program in Canada.
- Professional Membership: Active registration (or eligibility) with CAMRT & ACMDTT or CSCLXT & ACCLXT.
- Patient-Centered Approach: A commitment to compassionate care and ensuring patient comfort.
- Clinical Expertise: Proficiency in a wide range of x-ray procedures, with strong attention to detail.
- Diagnostic Imaging Excellence: Proven ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining a strong focus on patient care.
- Technology Proficiency: Experienced in RIS and other relevant imaging technologies.
- Continuous Learning: A commitment to ongoing professional development to enhance skills and expertise.
- Health & Safety: Strong adherence to health and safety protocols while performing procedures and operating medical imaging equipment.
- Collaboration & Adaptable: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and alongside colleagues to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Specialized Experience: Experience in interventional fluoroscopy, mammography, or bone mineral density is an asset.

Additional Information
- Work Locations: This position will be based at our Chinook clinic and at one additional location. Secondary clinic assignments will be determined based on operational needs and preferences discussed during interviews.
