Position Description
As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) you are a vital scientific resource who establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with key external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and academic institutions. You serve as a bridge between the clinical community and the company, providing expert scientific knowledge to support research, product understanding, and clinical care. The role involves disseminating accurate and relevant information while engaging in scientific discussions that enhance the understanding of our portfolio and its impact on patient care. The base compensation range for this position is $97,000 to $171,000. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications, and internal equity.

Position Description

You serve as a bridge between the clinical community and the company, providing expert scientific knowledge to support research, product understanding, and clinical care. The role involves disseminating accurate and relevant information while engaging in scientific discussions that enhance the understanding of our portfolio and its impact on patient care. The following are some key roles and responsibilities:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals to support scientific exchange and to address unmet medical needs.
- Communicating complex scientific information and clinical insights external stakeholders. Providing robust medical education and scientific support to HCPs regarding clinical data and molecule knowledge.
- Identify and communicate unmet needs and insights from the field to inform molecule development and strategy.
- Support clinical research initiatives, including investigator initiated studies and clinical trial activities
- Participate in conferences and scientific meetings to represent Novo Nordisk and to gather insights. Collaborate cross-functionally to align on strategic initiatives and scientific objectives
Required Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who has the following qualitifations:
Need to have:
- PhD, MD, Pharm D; BSc
- 3 to 5 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience or professional work experience in a scientific or medical discipline.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 60% of the time, travel may include overnight stays.
- Valid passport or visa to travel to Europe and United States for scientific meetings
- Based in Vancouver or the greater Vancouver area.
Nice to have:
- Previous experience as a Medical Scientific Liaison. Background in clinical practice and/or research in cardiometabolic therapeutic areas
