What You'll Do
The Merchandiser, Boys will be responsible for developing and driving the product strategy, assortment, and financial performance goals for the Boys Department. The Merchandiser will foster strong cross functional relationships to ensure all strategies and goals are achieved. Working closely with the Head of Merchandising, the Merchandiser will act as the representative of the customer in strategic decisions on the cross-functional team. The Merchandiser will partner with Planning to drive financial goals as well as partner with Design, Production, Brand Creative Services, and Visual Merchandising to ensure the strategic vision is executed all the way to the customer. They will also work closely with the store teams to enhance understanding of our customers and address their needs.

Actual starting pay for this role is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to qualifications, experience, relevant skills,, education, and geographic location. What You'll Do

Responsibilities
- Strategically develop and execute financial plans for department, line, and classification in partnership with Planning
- Utilize seasonal and hindsight information to develop product strategies and category positioning
- Build roadmap for Design outlining clear direction around AUC, newness, carryover and areas of growth and decline to tie to seasonal product strategies
- Participate in seasonal Design product reviews; assorting and providing feedback on product lines to guide color, pattern, silhouette, and outfitting
- Work with Production and Design to drive achievement of AUC and IMU goals
- Partner with Planning to drive in-season management through pricing and markdown recommendations; diagnose and leverage in-season opportunities to drive future strategies
- Collaborate with Design, Production, Brand Creative Services, and Visual Merchandising to ensure the strategic vision is executed all the way to the customer
- Maintain a high awareness of the customer, competitive landscape and fashion trends through consistent store visits and online research
What You'll Bring
- BA/BS degree required with a minimum of 4-6 years of hands-on merchandising experience
- Experience in the Specialty Store arena preferred with proven ability to identify trends and successfully drive results
- Children/Baby apparel experience preferred
- Passion for product
- Possess strong analytical skills
- Strong business acumen
- Self-motivated, multi- tasker
- Superior communication skills, both written and oral, coupled with strong organizational agili
- PC skills required; including excellence with Excel applications specifically
- The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have the ability to work with all levels within the organization
