Summary
The MES Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) within our manufacturing facilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze production processes, configure MES software, and provide technical expertise to optimize manufacturing operations. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and proficiency in MES software and related technologies. This role will work MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC (MNAe).

MES System Design And Configuration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design MES solutions that align with manufacturing process needs and business objectives.
- Configure and customize MES software to meet specific manufacturing requirements, including process workflows, data collection, and reporting functionalities.
- Conduct testing and validation of MES systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
System Implementation and Integration:
- Support the implementation and deployment of MES systems in manufacturing facilities, working closely with project teams to ensure successful delivery within defined timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and contractors, to integrate MES systems with other manufacturing systems, such as ERP, SCADA, and PLCs.
- Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues during implementation and integration phases.
System Maintenance and Support:
- Monitor the performance and availability of MES systems, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and disruptions to production operations.
- Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting system errors, and guiding them in utilizing MES functionalities effectively.
- Collaborate with IT teams to manage system upgrades, patches, and security enhancements.
Process Improvement and Optimization:
- Analyze manufacturing processes, data, and workflows to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvement using the MES system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, including automation of manual tasks, reduction of cycle times, and enhancement of production workflows through the utilization of MES functionalities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing data analysis and insights to drive informed decision-making.
Documentation and Training:
- Create and maintain documentation, including system configuration, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on utilizing MES functionalities, ensuring proper system usage and adherence to standard operating procedures.

Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of Experience in MES management
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of production processes and related systems (e.g., MES, ERP, SCADA, PLCs).
- Experience in MES system improvement and user requirements development.
- Knowledge of database management and performance optimization (SQL, MS-SQL, or similar).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., C#.NET, Java).
- Experience designing and developing MES interfaces for automated equipment integration.
- Strong analytical skills to assess MES performance and drive process improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Bilingual speaker (English and Korean) is a plus
- Experience optimizing system and database performance for large-scale MES environments.
- Knowledge of strategic, conceptual, and consultative process improvement approaches.
- Leadership and people-management skills in a technical or manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the automotive industry and familiarity with manufacturing technologies.
