Description:
Reporting to the Director of Technology Business Management & Strategy in Group Functions Technology, Finance IT PM will be responsible for planning, organizing and implementing IT initiatives of varying complexities with Finance & Treasury Workstreams. This includes taking project from initiation through final implementation, working with a matrix project team. The individual must continually and effectively communicate within our organization and with functional representative.
To be successful in the role, the candidate will possess demonstrated experience in IT project management with good organizational and problem-solving acumen; have a foundational knowledge of technology, ranging from legacy and Azure cloud stack. Prior experience in managing technology projects for finance will be an asset.
Key Accountabilities
Responsible for executing technical projects in collaboration with multiple functional and technology stakeholders, primarily in the Finance domain, developing analysis to support process and improvements
Manages and coordinates technical projects through all phases of initiation, development and implementation
Works with stakeholders to define and manage the scope, strategy, requirements and implementation of projects
Ensures that assigned projects are completed within budget and schedule while meeting client business objectives
Identifies, analyzes, mitigates\resolves, documents, and controls project risks and issues that impede successful delivery
Provides effective and regular communication within the project team, stakeholders, sponsors and management
Identifies resource needs for the project and establishes roles, expectations, and goals with team members
Understands nature of impact and creates lessons learned for future delivery
Manages multiple projects of varying complexities and size, ensuring project deliverables are brought in on time, within budget and quality targets
Job Requirement
5+ Years of hands-on Project Management
Skilled in managing both waterfall and agile project methodologies; PMP or CSM designation would be an asset
Foundational/Breadth of knowledge of Technology including legacy and niche cloud and data solutions
Ability to communicate effectively both in technical and non-technical terms
Experienced in collaborating in matrix organization with programming team, business stakeholders, engineering and platform teams, enterprise architects, compliance and risk, product vendors, across a globally distributed environment
Proven track record of managing and delivering IT projects of varied complexities
Proven track record of effectively monitoring project updates, risks and escalations
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes to technical and non-technical audience
Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical acumen to think out of box for resolving project obstacles and managing efficiencies in delivery
Knowledge of Corporate functions process and capabilities; IT Project Management experience in finance domain is an asset
