Accounts Payable (AP) is the department responsible for paying all of CME Group's bills. The Manager of Accounts Payable will provide oversight of the AP function and team; ensuring accurate & timely processing of supplier disbursements.

Principle Accountabilities:
- Management of the team includes hiring, training, delegation and development of employees
- Manage the supplier process and liaise primarily with Procurement. (P2P process)
- Liaise with other functional areas within the organization including Corporate Accounting,Treasury, Membership, Marketing, etc.
- Maintain internal controls & procedures to protect CME's assets & determine new controls or procedures that protect the integrity of CME. Will assist with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of new AP fraud system
- Interact regularly with upper management
- Responsible for assimilation of AP metrics, approval of journal entries, approval of account reconciliations & overseeing month-end close
- Quarterly review of Related Party
- Annual review of the AP manual & fraud training; updates throughout the year as needed
- Develop and implement an escheatment process
- Co-lead weekly global AP meetings
Skills and Software Requirements:
- Experience managing or leading a team
- Workday experience required
- Experience working in a team environment
- Strong decision making and communication skills
