The Role:

The Sourcing Manager - Co-Manufacturing and Indirect Services role will be a member of the NA Procurement team, with the key responsibility to partner with local functional leadership to establish category specific strategies and facilitate the supplier identification, negotiations and contracting necessary to meet the desired requirements at the best possible economics. This role fully supports New Product Development Initiatives through establishment of a robust network of multi-capability contract manufacturers. In addition, this role with partner with the NA Regional Category Leads for Indirect Materials and Services within our parent company, Associated British Foods (ABF), to leverage economies of scale.

Key functional areas of focus for this position include, but are not limited to: Contract Manufacturing network, Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) within North America (includes the support of CAPEX projects), and Professional Services (Travel, Office Supplies, HR, R&D and Quality).

What You'll Do:

  • General development and execution of all sourcing-related functions: assess spend analytics, performing due diligence and assessment of prospective suppliers, executing RFPs/bids, negotiating contracts (while working with cross-functional stakeholders), and ensuring effective transition to operations during implementation.
  • Interact with supply base and internal stakeholders to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities (savings and avoidance). Develop cross-functional teams through project realization.
  • Develop category plans with the ability to provide visibility such as supplier summaries, stakeholder engagement plans, contract summaries, and market insights that lead to both short and long-term strategies.
  • Identifies cost saving and quality improvement opportunities.
  • Serves as a lead representing manufacturing and procurement on project teams. Coordinates with internal cross functional groups to identify material and service required for new products or product changes.
  • Manages financial and capacity risks with contract manufactures, and communicates that risk to the Business Unit
  • Seeks out, identifies and screens a broad catalog of contract manufactures with varying abilities to meet current and future business needs. Conduct due diligence and site scope development.
  • Develop and monitor supplier relationships to optimize business value; implement supplier management strategies by monitoring KPIs (Scorecard), Terms and Conditions, and Supplier Contracts
  • Annual budget preparation for all SKUs within Co-Manufacturing
  • Partner with the ABF NA Regional Category Leads to identify opportunities to consolidate spend across the company to capture buying power with key suppliers.
  • Use regional market and industry intelligence to identify and qualify new suppliers and use data to support the business and delivery of services. Proactively identify risk, threats and provide solutions for mitigation.
  • Identify opportunities to develop and implement new policies and procedures, including rationalization of legacy.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal senior/executive stakeholders and key suppliers to enable better outcomes.
  • Collaborate across the business to identify and pursue new supplier opportunities.


What You'll Need:

  • BA/BS in bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Finance, or another related field preferred.
  • MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 7+ years of procurement and manufacturing experience in a CPG environment. Contract manufacturing exposure is highly preferred.
  • Key ERP skills/experience, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI

Salary Range:

  • $116,000 - $147,210 (This includes the starting base pay range, yet exact compensation will vary based on candidates' qualifications, job related knowledge and experience and specific location).

  • Variable Pay is included in compensation package yet not part of base salary range.
