Micro focus Opsware Tools Admin at Washington, DC or Arlington, VA
Hands on experience in Microfocus Opsware Automation & Orchestration workflow and any other monitoring tools experience such as ServiceNow Event Management, SCOM, NexThink tools
Experience performing COTS administration on a large-scale enterprise.
Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server operating systems
Proven understanding of scripting languages (JavaScript, PowerShell, etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills to support management and problem-solving functions of this role
Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
Excellent judgment and discretion; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines in high pressure scenarios.
Provide 24/7 on-call support as needed
(Job Requirements/Descriptions)
Modify Opsware Workflows and automations to meet the needs of the customer
Install, upgrade, patch and configure tools and/or agents on Windows and Linux servers.
Integrate tools with existing infrastructure
Rotate passwords on the various tools
Create and maintain documentation for tools including SOPs, ops guides, etc
Troubleshoot and resolve moderate to complex system/application issues.
Automate tasks using various scripting languages or automation tools
Collaborate with Application Team on new monitoring capabilities.
Provide tier 2 support for monitoring solutions.
Participate in on-call support rotation
