ACI Health Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mid-Level Accountant to join our team in Fairfax, Virginia. This individual will play a key role in supporting our financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and contributing to a strong internal control environment. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review journal entries and monthly financial statements
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits
Work with cross-functional teams to support financial decisions
Identify and implement process improvements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems)
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot tables and formulas)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in healthcare or government contracting is a plus
