Grades 7-8

12 Month Position

Reports to Superintendent of Schools

Effective: July 1, 2025

Certification Requirements: New Jersey Principal Certification

Qualifications:

• Instructional leader with at least five years of classroom experience, preferably at the middle school level, focused on learning and student growth and achievement
• Administrative experience in an educational leadership role, preferably as an assistant principal with demonstrated successful building-level experience (including safety and supervision of students and staff members) and reporting to the Superintendent of Schools
• Experience with standardized assessments, benchmarking student achievement, and using data to inform instructional practices and decisions on a school-wide level
• Experience designing, evaluating, and adapting grades 7-8 curricula to meet the needs of all students, with an emphasis on challenging academic standards, while building a culture of respect and collaboration
• Ability to use excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships with teachers and staff, students, parents and the community
• Experience implementing District policies, rules and regulations for staff and students
• Experience with formal and informal staff observations and evaluations and development of staff Professional Growth Plans
• Experience with development of school budget and master schedule
