Mid-Senior Level Cost Analyst

Overview

Tecolote is hiring a Mid to Senior Level Cost Analyst with a minimum Secret Clearance to support the Space Systems Command, Assured Access to Space (AATS) organization. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the Department of Defense (DoD) cost estimating process, experience analyzing technical and cost information, developing cost models and applying cost methodologies, and documenting and presenting analyses and results.

Responsibilities

• Support the National Security Space Launch (NSSL) Program
• Work with program management, engineers and technical analysts to identify program requirements, and then develop cost estimates to support budget requests
• Evaluate historical program data, conduct research, perform statistical analyses, and build cost models to support a variety of cost-related inquiries and what-if scenarios
• Perform cost risk assessments and uncertainty analysis
• Develop briefings and present to senior program leadership
• Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00/Year, DOE

Skills Required

• Minimum of 5 years of cost estimating and analysis experience supporting DoD, National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), Intelligence Agency, or National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) customers
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to work both independently and in groups, in a fast-paced environment
• A combination of mathematics, technical/engineering and strategic thinking skillsets is a plus
• DoD Acquisition experience is desired
• Certification in cost estimating by a recognized professional society/educational organization (e.g. ICEAA) is desired
• Experience using Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT) is desired
• U.S. citizenship is required

Education

Bachelors degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
