JobDescription:
Reporting to the SalesManager, the Mining Sales Representative is responsible for developing andmaintaining strong customer relationships, identifying new businessopportunities, and driving sales growth in the mining sector. The idealcandidate will have a deep understanding of the mining industry, excellentsales acumen, and a proactive approach to customer engagement.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve company sales targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within your region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Conduct, at minimum, monthly site visits with all customers.
- Provide technical product knowledge and support to customers.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals effectively.
- Work closely with internal teams, including engineering and customer support, to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for market growth.
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings as required.
- Any other tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of sales experience.
- Experience working in the mining industry is required.
- Proficiency in CRM software.

- Customer and team focused - has a strong desire to go above and beyond to meet the needs of internal and external customers and collaborate with the sales, engineering and marketing teams.
- Prioritizes communication and communicates information clearly and quickly with team members and clients.
- Flexible in adjusting to changing market conditions, client needs, and team dynamics while maintaining focus on the Company's sales objectives.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based role with visits to customer sites.
- Office based role in West Edmonton, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with an hour lunch.
- Frequent travel to client sites, which includes out-of-town travel, and occasional international travel. A valid passport is required.
- Participation in industry conferences, exhibitions, and business development events.
- When on customer sites, PPE such as hard hats, safety boots, and high-visibility clothing may be required.
