Mobile Developer IV - Android Engineer
Duration: Long term
Location: Philadelphia, PA - onsite 4 days/ week
Xfinity Stream Team for Android platform - application is to allow users to search for and play content to stream on mobile devices (phones, tv, tablets, etc)
Scope of role: Maintaining an app that has been around a while - there is legacy code in Java; continuing the development and updating app to Kotlin & Jetpack Compose, co routines
Fixing bugs, performance improvements, updates, testing and developing new features
Other applications experienced that could translate well: other major video steaming apps (Hulu, Netflix, HBO max, amazon video, etc) - tend to do well in the conversations with them.
Minimum of 5 years' experience
Skillset/ Tool Chain includes:
Git - for source control
Java and Kotlin (app is written in these languages)
Standard Android stacks
Android Studio, Jira
Libraries & design guidelines, Jetpack Compose
