Mobile Development Engineer in Test - Onsite

Job Description:
As a Mobile Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions for mobile applications using Appium. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement testing strategies, ensure high-quality software delivery, and drive automation best practices across projects.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain functional test automation scripts for mobile applications using Appium with Java
• Ensure automation scripts run continuously, analyze failures, and promptly report issues
• Work with internal teams and external vendors, both onshore and offshore, to define environment requirements and automation tools
• Implement and optimize best practices for automation processes and testing frameworks
• Drive an end-to-end testing approach across multiple mobile applications
• Partner with geographically distributed teams to plan QA tooling and technology decisions
• Collaborate with Product Teams, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to manage project testing schedules and reporting
• Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks for iOS and Android applications
• Integrate automated testing with CI/CD pipelines and Lean DevOps methodologies
• Support multiple QA projects with concurrent releases while ensuring high testing efficiency

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

• 1+ year of experience in mobile application development
• 2+ years of experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks
• 2+ years of experience in developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts
• Strong hands-on coding experience with Java
• Experience with XCUI and/or Espresso, Kotlin, and Swift is preferred
• Working knowledge of industry-standard tools for bug tracking and test case management (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr)
• Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple QA projects across geographically distributed teams
• Solid understanding of mobile development and testing for iOS and Android devices
• Experience with CI/CD practices and Lean DevOps methodologies
• Financial or trading services industry experience is a plus

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $50.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
