Job Title: MRI Technologist
Job Specialty: MRI

Shift: Day - 8x5 - 07 AM start, Tuesday-Friday 6:30 AM to 4 PM

Experience: Preferred year of experience in magnetic resonance imaging
License: ARRT (R) (MRI) certification or ARMIT with current registration
Certifications: CPR certification via AHA required
Must-Have: Experience with Siemens MRI systems
Job Description:
- Perform diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organ systems, and blood flow studies.
- Provide radiologists with images necessary to obtain diagnostic results, ensuring comprehensive diagnostic reports for referring physicians.
- Orient physicians, residents, staff, and student technologists in the objectives and applications of magnetic resonance imaging and safety protocols.
- Assist nursing staff with specific tasks, such as witnessing the proper disposal of medications and documenting usage.
- Require completion of an AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
- Possess extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathological processes, particularly in neurological, orthopedic, and cardiac areas.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.
- Require knowledge of MRI exam physics and the use of associated equipment.
- Exhibit effective communication skills for interactions with patients, physicians, and other personnel.
- Employ high levels of analytical and critical thinking skills to perform appropriate scans based on patient history and protocol.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills for instructing and orienting patients, medical staff, and students.
