Certifications: AHA BLS

Description:
Under immediate to general supervision and direction of a mentor or preceptor, this entry-level position works to achieve the initial competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services.
The role caters to both adult and/or pediatric patient populations for the purpose of aiding medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions, defects, and/or diseases.
Provides safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care and support services under routine or emergent conditions.
Works in a variety of care settings, including acute inpatient facilities, outpatient physician practices, diagnostic or urgent care centers, and remote statewide outreach clinics.
Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians.
Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team.
Utilizes a variety of highly specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment and techniques for diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures.
Conducts post-procedure review to confirm that all required elements are completed and documented.
Ensures technical quality is consistent with established department protocols or applicable accreditation standards.
Transfers images and data to the appropriate archival systems and prepares studies for physician reporting.
Performs quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfecting, and other user maintenance per guidelines.
Participates in continuing education, professional development, and research activities to maintain competencies.
Promotes continuous improvements in care and treatments.
Must be able to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
Demonstrates attention to detail and can work with minimal supervision.
Maintains accurate records and works accurately with names, numbers, and codes.
Displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently.
