Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Neurosurgery/Neurology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 12 (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years neuro med-surg experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Med Surg/Tele Acute Care experience- Experience with neurology patients- Ability to work every third weekend- Ability to work holidays as needed Job Description: - Provide care for patients in a Joint Commission-certified stroke program- Manage conditions such as acute stroke (hemorrhagic and ischemic), transient ischemic attacks, vasculitis, carotid and vertebral dissection, and subarachnoid hemorrhage- Care for adult patients undergoing spinal surgery, experiencing intracranial hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and various neurological conditions such as Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis- Participate in an on-call schedule of 2 (12-hour) shifts per 6-week period- Preferred experience with travel nursing and EPIC system usageThis position requires skilled care and commitment to meet the comprehensive needs of neurosurgery/neurology patients.
