Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Labor and Delivery - High Risk Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating 7A/7P (12-hour shifts) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Two plus years of high-risk labor and delivery experience License: RN License Certifications: - ACLS/BLS through American Heart Association or Red Cross or one of the recognized international affiliates or Military Training Network- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certified - NCC- NRP Advanced Provider through American Academy of Pediatrics (or accepted RQI)- EPIC (inpatient and stork)- STABLE Must-Have: - High-risk labor and delivery experience- Float as needed to areas with a similar skill set: labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, nursery, and mother/baby Job Description: - Provide nursing care for high-risk obstetric patients- Work within a Level IV Perinatal Center with a NICU- Manage patient care in a unit with 6 triage rooms, 10 labor/delivery/recovery rooms, 3 operating rooms, and 3 PACU beds- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1-2 for mothers and 1:4 for couplets- Ensure high standards of care in the management of high-risk pregnancies- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team- Utilize advanced electronic medical record systems for patient documentation and care management
