Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician
Job Specialty: Medical Laboratory Technician
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night & Day Shift - Varies (Hours per shift vary as well)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
License: Required to possess a State CLT or CLS Licensure.
Certifications: CLIA certification for Moderately and Highly Complex Tests
Must-Have: Must adhere to OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standards for Category I exposure level.
Job Description:
- Perform phlebotomy on various age groups in a proficient and caring manner.
- Conduct Moderately Complex CLIA tests without supervision.
- Perform Highly Complex CLIA tests under supervision.
- Ensure adherence to safety and procedural protocols.
- Provide support and assistance under the direction of the Pathologist and Department Director.
- Require holiday coverage as part of the job responsibilities.
- Utilize Meditech as the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
