As a Multi-Disciplinary Designer, you will play a key role in supporting diverse engineering, planning, and design projects with a creative and detail-oriented approach.
What are the core responsibilities for the role?
- Support Project Managers and Engineers with design tasks across various projects
- Participate in all stages of project development, from conceptual design to bidding support and construction administration.
- Perform drafting and design work in AutoCAD Civil 3D, ensuring accurate and efficient documentation.
- Interpret and integrate plans from multiple engineering-related disciplines.
- Apply technical expertise to both conventional and unconventional projects, solving complex design challenges.
- Manage and organize project data files from various sources.
- Collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality, error-free work products.
- Occasionally travel to obtain field data and support on-site project needs.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in civil engineering, planning, landscape architecture, urban design, or a related field. Other educational backgrounds will be considered if accompanied by relevant experience and skill sets.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in the engineering, planning, or landscape architecture industry.
- Direct experience with at least one project exceeding $1M in construction value, having participated in all project stages, from design through construction administration.
- Bonus: Hands-on experience in construction, fabrication, or related industries.
Technical Skills:
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, particularly:
- Sheet layout, dimensioning, and labeling
- 2D drafting and detailing
- Moderate comfort with alignments, basic profiles, and grading with feature lines
- Basic exposure to corridors, assemblies, and pipe networks
- Preferred Software Proficiency:
- Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
- Trimble SketchUp
- Bonus Skills:
- Experience with Bentley Microstation
- Planting and irrigation Design
- 3D renderings and illustrative graphics

- Able to work independently with little supervision
