Job Title: Multi Specialty Modality Tech

Job Specialty: CT and Rad Tech

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 12-hour night shift, 5x8 Hours

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Experience: Minimum 1-year imaging experience

License: Registered Radiology Technologist from ARRT

Certifications: BLS (AHA)

Must-Have: CT and Radiology Technician experience

Job Description:

- Provide quality patient care within two or more medical imaging departments.
- Perform high-quality images and exams on patients, ensuring sensitivity to patient needs.
- Follow standards of safe radiation practice and maintain ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
- Demonstrate leadership abilities and serve as a role model for other associate technologists.
- Act as a clinical resource to unit personnel and uphold current standards of practice.
- Conduct imaging procedures while ensuring the safety of self, patients, and all individuals.
- Produce quality images accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare patients for exams and provide necessary information and instructions.
- Assist and position patients during exams, observing and documenting any unusual occurrences.
- Facilitate smooth patient flow, scheduling, and optimal use of equipment and resources.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, imaging personnel, students, and hospital staff.
- Assist with patient transport as needed and perform IV starts and contrast administration.
- Be available for on-call coverage as required by department policy.
- Input charges and required data for procedures and utilized supplies.
- Complete necessary hospital/medical imaging paperwork for each exam.
- Prepare room, equipment, and exam materials, maintaining technical operation of equipment.
- Notify service when necessary and inform supervisors of any equipment problems.
- Maintain a clean work area and conduct quality checks and equipment maintenance documentation.
- Engage proactively in problem identification and follow-up with management.
- Establish constructive rapport with physicians, staff, and departments.
- Maintain high skill levels through ongoing education and share knowledge with staff.
- Participate in clinical training for students and/or staff technologists.
- Engage in professional activities through organization involvement, journaling, or online education.
- Actively participate in department/hospital quality and process-improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with all State, Federal, accreditation, and hospital regulations and standards.
- Contribute to ACR accreditation when requested.

Note: Floating may be required to locations within sixty (60) miles of the original assignment location or identified float zone. Float assignments may include duties outside of original assignment job requirements in accordance with policy.
