SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Growth, you will be responsible for helping to develop and execute sales strategies to expand our presence within the automotive industry across the US, Canada, and Mexico. This role requires a deep understanding of the automotive OEM/supplier markets and a proven track record in sales or business development. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, and excellent communicator, and a skilled negotiator, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)
  • Help develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth in the automotive sector.
  • Identify and engage with key decision makers within automotive companies, including OEMs, Tiered suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to understand their needs and provide tailored laser system solutions.
  • Collaborate with the engineering, product development, and marketing teams to ensure customer requirements are being met and to provide feedback on market demands.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and contracts to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring favorable profitability and terms for the company.
  • Help in conducting market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape and business opportunities.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our products and network with potential customers.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports and updates to company leadership.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the company's product portfolio and stay updated on technological advancements in laser systems.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong technical acumen, and the ability to quickly understand and explain complex laser technologies.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively within North America as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Self-motivated, results oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce/CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Spanish, German or French language skills a plus.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in sales or business development within the automotive industry, with a focus on laser systems or other high-tech products preferred.
