What impact you'll make:

The Sub Region PES (Project & Engineered Solutions) Manager in North America will lead a team of project managers who manage aftermarket projects involving Conversions, Modifications, and Upgrades (CM&Us) on one or combination of the following: Industrial Heavy-Duty Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Generators, Heat Recovery Steam Generators, and/or balance-of-plant equipment. For related customer equipment, facilities or infrastructure projects: leader is responsible for project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources.

Job Description

What you'll do:
  • Lead OTR (Order to Remittance) activities related to North America-PES Subregion projects to ensure (SQDC) safety, quality, on time delivery and cost as per commitments.
  • Own portfolio of projects execution, including cross-functional coordination of engineering, procurement, shipping logistics, field/ outage execution and performance demonstration. And support ITO when required.
  • Drive effective planning, cost management, and prioritization of project execution to ensure maximum profitability for the sub region.
  • Own and drive effective ITO/OTR, including R3 turnovers to ensure project deliverables are clear and in line with fulfillment processes.
  • Accountable for driving/delivering sub regional fulfillment key performance indicators.
  • Drive team Daily Management, according to the Lean Methodology and COE guidelines and escalate to the Regional PES General Manager when required.
  • Apply in lean methodologies like problem solving, daily management, active participation in Kaizen and be a coach for the team on Lean.
  • Coach and support the development of Project Managers.
  • Act in accordance with the GE Vernova Way and promote them within different teams.
  • Serve as the GE representative and focal point for the customer on the project when required.
  • Support/coach Project Managers on Contract Terms & Conditions project issues.
  • Monitor PES Region bowler status and support/lead problems solving when KPI are in red.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Region and report projects status, as required by the Region and/or HQ.
  • Capture and report project best practices/ lessons learned and Cost-of-Poor Quality cases.
  • Follow PE&S Project Management processes.


What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University, preferably in a technical or business degree.
  • Significant experience in Project Management of Complex Industrial Projects and leading teams.
  • Obtain PMO Project Manager Qualification within 24 months of assignment including successful training, passing a review board, and obtaining the Project Management Institute's Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent. The 24-month timeline may be extended as needed to meet PMP experience requirements.
  • Maintain PMO Project Manager Qualification status through ongoing training and recertification as required.
  • Eligibility Requirements: Ability and willingness to travel (~25%)

  • Proven experience in a management / leadership role with direct reports
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Significant Project, Construction, Field Engineering and/or Contract Management experience in power industry
  • Experience in a customer facing role working through negotiations and solving issues
  • High energy level, self-starter
  • Deep technical knowledge of HDGT and GTCC product lines and associated systems
  • Passion and knowledge of LEAN implementation in a Services organization.
  • Strong Portfolio Experience; strategic thinking and problem solving
  • Strong people management, team building, performance management, strategic and operations planning, process management, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Promotes a diverse and inclusive workforce with the ability to attract, mentor and grow talent
  • Strong skills in customer relationship building, facilitation, and matrix management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leaderships skills to gain acceptance and buy in from other matrix functions to accomplish improvement projects
  • PMP Certification, Project Management Leadership Program (PMLP) Graduate, or other Project Management training.


Pay Transparency:

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is 132,200.00 - 220,400.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 15% annual performance incentive.
