Reporting to the Manager, National Accounts, the National Account Executive will be responsible for managing a portfolio of national automotive accounts. The incumbent is expected to ensure effective sales, service and marketing activities are provided for national and regional automotive accounts. We are looking for a passionate and experienced National Account Executive to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Manager, National Accounts, the National Account Executive will be responsible for managing a portfolio of national automotive accounts. The incumbent is expected to ensure effective sales, service and marketing activities are provided for national and regional automotive accounts. What You'll Be Doing:
- Overseeing a portfolio of national accounts to meet and exceed their needs while identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities within the region.
- Implementing effective sales, service, and marketing strategies to drive growth and customer satisfaction while collaborating with the marketing team to create and execute promotional strategies.
- Providing regular updates and insights to the Manager, National Accounts, to inform strategic decisions.
- Delivering exceptional service to national and regional automotive accounts, addressing their concerns and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Providing technical information on products, conducting battery clinics and other customer training as required.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
What You Bring:
You will receive full product training, but a strong foundation and background in the following will set you up for success:
- Post-secondary education in business, sales, or a related field, complemented by relevant sales experience.
- 5 plus years of progressive sales/account management experience at a national level.
- Experience in the battery, manufacturing, automotive, or industrial sectors is an asset.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with a strong track record of delivering compelling presentations to senior management, directors, and VPs.
- Strong project and time management skills to manage simultaneous projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and online inventory/sales management applications and CRM systems to manage accounts and track performance.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring their loyalty and satisfaction.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and client needs, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems.
- A solid team player and self-starter who can troubleshoot, resolve issues, and achieve results.
- Apply critical thinking to analyze market trends and customer behavior.
Other Considerations:
- Regular local travel and occasional overnight travel, with up to 25% travel required.
- Ability to travel to the US for training purposes as needed by the business.
- Valid G driver's license required with a clean driving record.
- Background checks including criminal checks, driver's abstract and employment references will be requested.
