Salary: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the daily operations of the title underwriting team, setting priorities and ensuring excellence in service standards for commercial transactions.
- Develop and implement underwriting strategies in alignment with the company's broader business objectives.
- Oversee and guide title underwriting reviews to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Establish and enhance relationships with commercial clients, attorneys, and other key industry stakeholders to cultivate business growth.
- Represent the company at industry events and networking functions to bolster market presence and attract new business channels.
- Provide training and mentorship to underwriting teams aiming for operational efficiency and professional development.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and sales, to optimize processes and improve overall service delivery.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, and regulatory changes to update and improve underwriting policies and practices.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- JD required.
- Admission to the Florida Bar.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in title insurance underwriting focused on complex commercial real estate transactions.
- Demonstrated leadership experience capable of mentoring and leading teams.
- Proven experience managing title underwriting operations at a national or regional level.
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state regulations concerning real estate title insurance and settlement services.
- Ability to maintain high-level relationships with key stakeholders including attorneys and clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- National Commercial title experience is highly preferred.
- Prior remote work experience with proven self-discipline and initiative.
- Strong ability to operate independently and manage time effectively while working remotely.
