International Education Corporation continues to grow our Non-Title IV Programs and we are looking for a National Director of CDL Compliance.
This new position plays a critical role in ensuring that all Sage Trucking Schools maintain full compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations related to commercial driver training. This position provides onsite support and oversight, regularly auditing campuses to uphold CDL program standards, including DOT requirements, licensing, and curriculum mandates. The role assists in developing and implementing compliance systems, supports quality assurance efforts to meet placement and completion benchmarks, and ensures all instructional staff and training equipment meet regulatory standards. Working closely with the Sage General Manager, the National Director of CDL Compliance aids in policy implementation, tracks faculty certifications and lease expirations, and supports drug screening procedures, contributing to the ongoing success and integrity of the CDL training programs across all locations. This individual can reside in any large city with a major airport near one of our many Sage Truck Driving Schools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides onsite CDL Compliance oversite and support as needed.
- Ongoing and regular auditing of Sage Trucking Schools to ensure compliance with state, regulators, and federal government requirements.
- Develop and implement systems to maintain CDL compliance across all Sage Trucking Schools.
- Act as Quality Assurance to ensure completion and placement meets/exceeds established benchmarks.
- Assist in the implementation of policy and process across Sage Trucking Schools.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with DOT Numbers for all applicable locations.
- Monitor state-specific requirements for CDL school licensing, ensuring timely updates and renewals.
- Track and report faculty certifications as required by states to ensure instructional staff meet all qualifications.
- Assist with the tracking of equipment registrations, ensuring all trucks and training vehicles are current and legally compliant.
- Assist in maintaining a centralized system for tracking lease expirations (trucks, offices, training pads), providing advance notice for renewal planning.
- Assist with formulating, interpreting, and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable program, Federal, State, and institutional policies.
- Work with Corporate Leadership to ensure each campus location is receiving appropriate compliance support and guidance as needed.
- Assist in the research of state and federal requirements to ensure successful execution and implementation of CDL policies.
- Assist with CDL initiatives and special projects by deadlines as assigned.
- Assist with the process of ADP drug screening and collecting monthly pool data while providing notice of positive drug screens to locations.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with DOT Numbers for all applicable locations.
- Assist with monitoring of state-specific requirements for CDL school licensing, ensuring timely updates and renewals.
- Ensure compliance with CDL curriculum requirements to meet state and federal-specific mandates.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned.
- Regulatory Compliance Accuracy and Timeliness for all campuses with T-VI, FMCSA, DOT, and CDL Licensing
- Curriculum and Policy Implementation and Standardization across all Sage Trucking Schools
- Accurate and timely licensing, certification, and registration renewals.
- Responsible for leading the goals and supporting SAGE/IEC's mission.
Qualifications
Education, Experience, and Skillset
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Effective management, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of office equipment, Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint in particular).
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work successfully.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills; and the ability to analyze performance and continuous improvement and implementation of best practices.
- Ability to travel.
- Experience with CDL and DOT Compliance preferred
