We are seeking a National Director of Digital Products and Services to join our Durham, NC team!

Position Summary:

The National Director of Digital Products and Services will direct the development of credit union digital products and services to include mobile & online banking, and card services. This role is responsible for strategic development and recommending new product features and services to facilitate member adoption and assessing the relevance and effectiveness of current products & services. The National Director will serve as member experience advocate on cross-functional teams, sponsoring new product proposals and/or enhancements that support Self-Help's mission, and digital and remote servicing expansion objectives that contribute to our members' financial well-being.

WHAT you'll DO:

  • Collaborate with national credit union leadership in developing the strategic direction for digital & remote access products and services.
  • Ensure the continuous development and efficient delivery of mission-aligned, regulatory compliant, functional, and member-friendly products and services.
  • Guide continued integration of Self-Help Credit Union and Self-Help Federal Credit Union digital and remote access business management and operations.
  • Guide cross-functional teams to create, maintain and implement the digital and remote product and services roadmap.
  • Assess and report on the effectiveness, member use and profitability of new and existing digital products and services.
  • Maintain knowledge of digital product & service industry trends and marketplace dynamics to inform thoughtful product & service evolution.
  • Provide internal and external guidance on digital payment network mandates and operating rule changes. Evaluate the impact of evolving member needs, regulatory changes, the risk environment, and credit union initiatives on the need for new and/or enhanced digital payment, services, and CU infrastructure.
  • Develop and/or inform internal policy & procedures development for training and compliance as it relates to digital products and services.
  • Participates as a member of the business continuity and fraud prevention work groups.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, for key vendors that deliver digital products & services.
  • Conduct risk reviews and analyze effectiveness of vendors, including soliciting RFPs from competing vendors.
  • Analyze merger partner contracts to inform conversion strategies. Participate in conversion teams as remote services business partner and card conversion consultant. Provide additional card conversion support as necessary.
  • Act as a change agent to drive Self-Help's economic inclusion initiatives by integrating supplier diversity and the use of businesses owned by women and people of color in third party contracting and vendor management for relevant products and services.
  • Perform other duties as may be deemed necessary.


WHAT You'll NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field OR equivalent related experience.
  • 7 years of experience in retail banking or Credit Union operations to include experience in leading successful teams.
  • Experience in working with remote products and services preferred.
  • Strong commitment to our mission - creating economic opportunity for traditionally underserved communities.
  • Preference for working in organizations that place priority on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ability to successfully hire, develop and guide staff.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state regulations governing financial institutions.
  • Proven strategic, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success in effectively managing, developing, and assessing staff.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to present ideas and information in group settings.
  • Ability and willingness to work beyond normal work hours, as needed.
