THE POSITION

We are seeking a strong and motivated IT professional to provide high quality customer service to commonwealth agencies, business partners, and other stakeholders while also supporting critical network services. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Network Administrator 2, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Commonwealth network systems, including local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), as well as data center and cloud infrastructure. Work involves ensuring the efficient and secure operation of the network infrastructure that supports business operations, while collaborating with other IT professionals, such as system administrators, security analysts, and software engineers, to maintain optimal network performance and security.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. You will be required to report in-office one day per month. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Network Administrator 1, Telecommunications Administrator, or Radio Telecommunications Supervisor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Six years of information technology experience that includes three years of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance involving installing, updating, and maintaining inter-network systems and managing information technology projects; or
- Four years of information technology experience that includes three years of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance involving installing, updating, and maintaining inter-network systems and managing information technology projects, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes three years of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance involving installing, updating, and maintaining inter-network systems and managing information technology projects.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires:
- Three or more years of full-time experience configuring and managing routers, switches, and other network devices.
- Three or more years of full-time experience working with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
- Three or more years of full-time experience with data center networking and interconnecting distributed networks.
