Fusion HCR is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to support a property-wide Aruba switch replacement project across an enterprise environment. This is a hands-on technical role focused on upgrading outdated network hardware with new Aruba switches, ensuring optimal performance, minimal downtime, and seamless integration across the network.
Project Overview:
The project involves the end-to-end replacement of aging switches across an entire property or campus environment. The engineer will assist with planning, staging, deployment, and cutover processes for Aruba switches-ensuring high availability and minimal service disruption during all phases of execution.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning, staging, and implementation of Aruba switch replacements across the property.
  • Perform physical installations, configurations, and testing of new Aruba switches.
  • Decommission legacy switching hardware and migrate configurations as needed.
  • Coordinate switch cutovers with operations and technology teams to minimize business impact.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, performance, or configuration issues during the migration.
  • Update network documentation including topology maps, port assignments, and configuration logs.
  • Ensure adherence to change control, security, and compliance requirements throughout the project.
  • Collaborate closely with infrastructure, cabling, and desktop support teams during installations.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure support, ideally in large-scale environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Aruba switches (CX series preferred).
  • Solid understanding of Layer 2 networking, VLANs, trunking, port security, and switch stacking.
  • Experience managing hardware upgrades and large-scale deployments.
  • Familiarity with Switchboard, network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Airwave), or similar platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, especially in live production environments.
  • Ability to interpret network diagrams and implement based on technical specifications.
  • Experience working in regulated environments (PCI, SOX, MICS) is a plus.
  • Must be eligible to obtain Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration (if applicable).
