Description

This position will be responsible for assisting the company's efforts in designing, implementing, and maintaining various IT elements of its infrastructure, including systems used to capture, store, and display medical records and imaging, eHealthTechnologies' website and user portal. The person will work in a dynamic, fast paced, team-oriented work environment that is guided by and upholds company core values of Integrity, Customer Care, Our People, Results, and Collaboration. A particular emphasis is placed on the provisions of the HIPAA security rule and the HITECH Act.
This is a hands-on position, and the incumbent must possess strong technological skills and must be able to work as an individual contributor. It is both an internal and external-customer facing position requiring solid communication, organizational skills and follow through. The person will work in a dynamic, fast paced, team-oriented work environment that is guided by and upholds company core values.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support eHealth Technologies, providing troubleshooting and escalating to the development team as needed.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of software used throughout the company and to new customers for eHealth Technologies SaaS applications.
  • Perform system configuration and management for server builds with logistics for remote deployment and remote connectivity
  • Assist in deploying new infrastructure to accommodate eHealth Technologies' growth.
  • Work with customers to configure VPNs to eHealth Infrastructure
  • Maintain up to date expertise in the operation and application of platform software and a working knowledge of a wide variety of commonly used hardware and software.
  • Maintain network equipment inventory, service contracts, and service histories
  • Maintain and create new documentation on eHealth Technologies network and infrastructure.
  • Understand and follow appropriate security measures and audits to maintain eHealth Technologies HIPAA-compliant status.
  • Work with others in the IT department teams to ensure security practices are followed.
  • Assist in scheduled monthly maintenance sessions.
  • Perform other related duties as required to accomplish the objectives of the position.


  • Requirements

    Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Three years equivalent work experience in a position responsible for managing network and server environments
  • Two years equivalent work experience managing, configuring and deploying Cisco, Fortigate, and Azure native network devices
  • VDI Experience is a plus
  • Strong OSPF and basic BGP knowledge required.
  • Strong knowledge of Site-to-Site VPN Tunnels is required.
  • Being able to thrive in a vendor neutral network is a plus
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, Exchange, and Backup methodologies.
  • Understanding of network administration and Active Directory environments.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining all manners of network and server hardware.
  • Strong Network Troubleshooting Skills are a must
  • Experience with automation using scripts of PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP network protocols, firewall management, and operating system configuration.
  • Understanding of VMware virtualization concepts and administration is a plus
  • Project management skills preferred.
  • The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to complete tasks accurately and within strict time constraints
  • Ability to collaborate within a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Knowledge of Healthcare operations a plus.

  • Key Relationships:
  • Directly Supervised by the Director, IT Infrastructure.
  • Interacts regularly with eHealth Technologies staff, customers, vendors, and community businesses.

  • Essential Functions and Work Conditions:
  • This position is located in Rochester, NY.
  • Physical Requirements: For extended periods of time: typing, data entry, sitting, reading, writing, and telephone conversations
  • This position is currently a hybrid position with occasional onsite work in office or at a datacenter.
  • Lifting up to 70 lbs.
  • Infrequent, occasional travel may be required.
  • Mental requirements include: General, visual, numerical intelligence and analytical skills.
  • Requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule when required, in support of a 24x7 service that is provided for our customers.


  • Salary Description

    $106,736.70-$133,396.90/year - based on experience
